Compartmentation - Compartmentation means the subdivision of unit space. Compartmentation also means that there are "doors" between the "rooms" and "communication lines" connecting the "rooms." Compartmentalization means the "doors" are closed and the "communication lines" are broken. Compartmentation is the "built-in" static state of the cells; compartmentalization is the dynamic defense process that starts after injury and infection.
