Hypovirulence  - Hypovirulence means low virulence.  Virulence is the amount of or number of pathogen propagules required to cause a specific degree of disease symptoms in a certain time.  If a few bits of a pathogen cause disease symptoms it is very virulent.  If it takes a great amount of the pathogen to cause similar symptoms, the pathogen is weakly virulent.
