Resin Ducts

Above is a cross section sliver of a conifer under 20-30 magnification.  You can see between two growth increments are two large bubble like structures.  They are resin ducts among tracheids.

Above are many resin ducts.  I count 9.

Above you see resins coming from resin ducts in sapwood.  This pine also forms heartwood to the inside of sapwood.

Above are resins on a three year old wound on a pine.
