Rainbow Funnel of Humic Acids  - In the once fertile forest we visualize a funnel.  Something flies by and gets caught up, leaves fall, a mole dies, a bear scats, a tree trunk falls, insects die, etc. They all go into the funnel to the soil.  Then the horizons are formed with the production of humic acids - buffers.
