Sap - Sucrose is a disaccharide made up of glucose and fructose. About 65% of the sugars in maple sap are sucrose. That is why humans like it. Do not confuse sap flow with resigns from resign ducts in some conifers. Please do not call sap blood, i.e., unless you put blood on your pan cakes.
