Specimen Tree  - A specimen tree is any tree that is considered worthy of occupying a focal point in a landscape.  The worthiness can be based on size, form, species, beauty, historical significance or any other feature that is considered significant.  The worthiness can be determined by an arborist, historian, landscape architect, or any other person who can show that the tree is worthy of special recognition.  We need all the specimen trees we can get in our cities and parks.
