Teleology - Giving purpose to actions that are beyond reason is called teleology. Teleology is a good teaching device so long as the principles of natural systems are understood. Teleology is trying to put purpose where there is no purpose. Please understand that trees do not reason or think out actions. (See MODERN ARBORICULTURE, SHIGO, 1991 pg 259)
