Ticks  - Mites, spiders, ticks, and scorpions belong to the Class Arachnids.  They are air-breathing arthropods that have a body comprised of two regions; the cephalothorax and abdomen.  They have six pairs of appendages of which four pair are legs.  They have no antennae.  Mites cause a variety of leaf galls.  Most of the time the galls cause little injury.  However, when the galls are very numerous, the leaves may die.
